Both Southold’s New York and Texas wines were well-loved by the wine community and were served in top restaurants around the world. Meador shares via Instagram that the winery, which started in Long Island, New York, in 2012 and relocated to Texas in 2017, will begin a slow process of closing in order for the family to move to Bordeaux, France and take over another family’s wine estate.
